The Quatrain Cardholder is an intermediate-level pattern featuring four main card slots and two hidden pockets. It pairs perfectly with the tutorial video above, which provides a comprehensive walk-through. While edge allowance, trimming, bevelling, and finish work will enhance your final product, they are optional. This pattern works well with most lower-weight vegetable-tanned leather, with a recommended thickness of 2.5-3.5oz (1.2mm).

The Ballad Cardholder uses the same pieces as the Quatrain, arranged in a flat configuration. Although also an intermediate pattern, the Ballad requires less time and fewer materials to complete.

This PDF template lets you create your own Couplet and Dyad Leather Cardholders for practice or personal use. You cannot resell the template. But feel free to modify the design and sell your finished pieces.
