I would like it better if it was waxed or the weave bonded together more

I would like it better if it was waxed or the weave bonded together more. I found it a bit loose and hard to tighten the stitch. It did however look nice once the project was polished.

This feels really posh, however I hadn't realized it didn't come covered in wax, and I'm having a little issue with threading my needle but it comes with practice, very posh though
